I love costumes. It is so fun to put on clothes that you could never wear in everyday life. And I am a huge fan of historical, or fantasy clothing. The colors, texture and grandness that are completely out of place in everyday life. (This is why I also love weddings.) Normally I come up with an idea for a costume and then proceed to find all the pieces to create it. Sometimes though you find something that you must make a costume for.
When Ryan and I went to the Ren Faire earlier this year we found the most amazing mask. It is the sort of piece that you make a costume around. I don’t know what he should be yet… a Venetian prince at a masquerade, Oberon… He could be anything, but surely something grand as befits this mask. It was made by Satori Masks, I’d share their website but I don’t think they have one. If they are at the Ren Faire next year and you happen to be there, stop by. You may find something amazing too.
