It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! It’s almost Halloween and pumpkins are everywhere. I did not carve a pumpkin this year but I still love a good jack-o-lantern so Ryan and I stopped at the Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor on our way home from Harriman State Park. Apparently they carve about 4,000 pumpkins. It is amazing. They have pumpkins everywhere. Some as simple as faces, some as complicated as a whole dragon built from carved pumpkins. It is hard to grasp the scale of it in mere photos. I think everyone who lives near this event should go. You would love it. But for everyone who couldn’t make it this year, or didn’t go because they had never heard of it, here are some photos. And yes, that is all pumpkins. I wonder what Linus would think.
