Thanksgiving is the time of year when we get to spend time with family eating a huge yummy meal and remembering all the things we are thankful for. I loved reading all the positive posts on Facebook. Seeing what everyone is thankful for. I am thankful for so many things that I couldn’t fit them all in this post. I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for my husband and for the fact that he is almost done with grad school. I am thankful for my job. I love photography and am so grateful that I get to do this every day. I am thankful for the workshops I attended this month and for all the new friends I made. One of my new friends recommended a book to me called “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp. It follows Ann as she tries to write a list of 1000 things she is grateful for. I love this idea. It reminds you to appreciate the little things.
I don’t know if I could keep a journal every day of things I’m grateful for, but I’d love to keep a photo journal. Now that I have an iPhone I always have a camera on me. I’d love to just take photos of things I see that remind me how wonderful life is. I encourage you to do the same. Or keep a list if that works better for you. Here are some photos I took on my phone. They aren’t brilliant, but they make me happy.
