I love the outdoors. When I was in elementary school my family drove across country and I got to visit a bunch of national parks. It was the best trip ever and I’ve always wanted to repeat it. When I headed west for Jasmine Star’s workshop it was the first time I had ever been to California (the cross country trip only went as far west as Nevada.) And therefore I was the closest I had ever been to Yosemite National Park. When most people would have stayed on the beach or checked out LA I drove hours north into the Sierras so I could finally see in person the park that Ansel Adams loved so much. I wasn’t expecting much. Since it was November the waterfalls probably wouldn’t be running and the leaves wouldn’t be on the trees. But despite all that it was still the most amazing sight. I can’t wait to return some spring when the water is high and the leaves are out. Does anyone want me to photograph a wedding there? I’d love to!
