What a difference a year makes!

Sometimes when I look at my yard I still see a list of things I need to get done (cut down dead trees, aerate lawn, put down grass seed, get grass seed to grow, plant trees and bushes, finish fire pit, weed, ect…)  But I try to remind myself that it has come a long way from when we bought it last April.  And it has.  My to do list no longer reads (get rid of poison ivy, get rid of brush, clear out trash, get rid of more poison ivy, get rid of concrete, grade massive hill down.)  To put it in a little bit of perspective here is a photo I took of Ryan working in our yard on April 11, 2012.  The next photo is the exact same spot on April 11, 2013.  A lot has changed.  A lot of hard work was done.  And soon the green will come back (in the form of grass and veggies) and we can enjoy all the hard work we did 🙂

Lelia Marie Photography - I miss the wild green backyard too. but I don’t miss the trash and ivy… so it had to go. Next step is getting it back with lots of trees and bushes and flowers and such. 🙂 Though that might take me a few years.
