Garden Thieves

This morning I wasn’t sure what part of my garden I wanted to blog about.  Was it the basil or the beans… maybe the corn which was almost ready to pick.  So I picked up my camera and went outside to see what looked pretty.  And that was when I saw it.  The destruction of all my corn.  It’s been trampled and eaten.  Ugh!  Why won’t the animals (all of them!) leave my garden alone!  I could deal with sharing it with them if they would just share.  But they never share.  They come in and eat it all! It’s ver frustrating!  So many things I planted aren’t going to produce veggies.  Either because I planted them too late, or they didn’t thrive who knows what ( in some cases the whole plant was just eaten.)  So I get really exited when something actually works!  And I tell myself that next year I will do better.  I’m starting to think that the only way I can do better next year is to build a really big fence.  And I kinda like the open nature of my backyard (and well, lets face it a fence won’t keep out the squirrels, bunnies and groundhogs.)  Do you have any suggestions for keeping the animals out of my garden?
