In an effort to figure out what has been nibbling my garden this summer (so I can try to prevent some of it next year) I set up a trail cam in the garden this last month while we were away. It takes truly horrible, blurry photos, but it does let me see what has been in my garden. If you can find it. Sometimes it is like where’s Waldo trying to find the squirrel that set it off. I’ve mostly gotten pictures of squirrels and us (working in the garden.) I’ve got a few photos of birds, a ton of groundhog photos! Ugh! And no deer… yet. I know they come in, but they don’t come very often. I’ve also got some mystery critters just to keep things interesting. So I’m not sure how to keep all these critters out. Especially since most of them just climb fences… or dig under them. But I do enjoy trying to figure it out.
Here are some of the photos the trail cam captured. Us first… then the groundhog (I’ve got tons of these) and then the mystery critters. Not that easy to see. I can blow these photos up a tiny bit more on my computer than you can on this blog so you will have to take my word for it. Unless you have a better guess because it is still pretty vague and grainy on my end too. 🙂
