It’s been a while since I’ve shared any photos of my chickens with you. If you follow me on Instagram (LeliaMariePhoto) you’ve seen some, but for those of you who haven’t I took some photos of my chickens this week. They have gotten bigger and are more chicken sized now. Which is good because I’m still dreaming about eggs! No, we haven’t gotten any yet, and I don’t think we will until September, which is good because we still need to put nesting boxes on the coop. They are still really well behaved, except when I have to chase them out of my garden. I think that we did get one rooster. I’ve long suspected that this one was a boy (hence why we named him Rue.) But I’m not sure when to change my 99% sure to an absolutely. When he crows? When everyone else is laying eggs? He just looks so much like a boy I’m pretty sure! But he’s very pretty and rather good natured. And since he hasn’t crowed yet I haven’t worried about him too much. Though as soon as that starts I’m gonna have to get rid of him since the neighbors won’t like it. Anyone want a cool roo?
Lady (on the left) and Rue (on the right) for some reason Lady doesn’t have much of a tail…
My farm boy. When did that happen? Amelia got up there all by herself. :-p
Buffy is always around keeping an eye on the chickens.
