When Jacquelyn from Enlightened Styles asked me if I wanted to photograph a girly, pink inspiration shoot at Airlie I was 100% in! I’ve always wanted to photograph at Airlie and this was my first chance! Plus everything Jacquelyn does is stunning. When we were planning and she told me the inspiration was pink, I knew immediately what dress we had to get for the shoot. I’d seen this dress before at Blush Bridal in Haymarket and just knew it would be perfect. When we told Maureen that we would take any pretty dress, but really really wanted this pink one, she vowed to make it fit our model no matter what. It turns out that it fit Susannah almost perfectly and we didn’t have to do much!
I love so much about this shoot that I could talk for days… but I’ll try to keep it short. These china plates are amazing! Is anyone having a pretty wedding or bridal shower? Go rent these! They add so much to the table! Thank you 1000 times to Blush Bridal for letting us use this dress. It’s amazing. I want more of my brides to wear colors! I’d really love to see some blue or gold in the future. My Buttercups did amazing flowers from the headpiece to the bouquet, chandelier and table. Wow. And Eloise’s pastries cake is stunning. We tried putting a cake topper on it, but it looked so good on it’s own we decided it was prettiest without any decorations. And a huge thank you to Susannah for modeling for us! She is the sweetest girl you will ever meet and it was a joy to spend time with her (and all those adorable, feisty little flower girls.) Everyone was a great sport making this shoot happen in the brief moments that it wasn’t raining, and it just goes to show you that even rainy days are beautiful!
