I love doing styled shoots in late winter/early spring. Normally there isn’t much happening in the wedding & portrait world (It’s COLD out!) so it’s the one time of year that we (wedding professionals) have time to get together and play! Its fun to see what everyone shows up with. Case in point, this styled shoot was themed “Pink Pineapple” But if I’d asked you what the theme was you probably never would have guessed. Pink pineapples were just what inspired the shoot, not what it turned into. Personally I’m loving the bright citrus colors! So much fun for a winter wedding when it is cold and dreary outside. It would also be fun in spring and summer!
A few of my favorite things from this shoot (to pay attention to and inspire your wedding)
- The flowers!!! Oh my gosh I love everything about them! The air plants are so cool and in combination with the tulips and roses it is just beautiful. Also the arch is great. Everyone should have one!
- Colorful jewelry! Not that there is anything wrong with grandmom’s pearls, but I love the color and chunky nature of this necklace!
- The makeup. Jacquelyn from Enlightened Styles has created her own makeup line and I got to see it used at this photo shoot. It’s beautiful! I love the way it photographs and I love how she can custom make colors for you. It’s fabulous!
