How to print your phone photos

The awesome thing about 2015 is that digital photography (the technology) has gotten really awesome!  The camera in any iPhone is as good as a rather expensive point and shoot from 6 years ago.  And since everyone always has their phone with them, you always have a camera!  Hooray!  This leads to a lot of photos being taken, but sadly almost none of them ever get printed.  I hear from friends (and clients) all the time that they just haven’t gotten around to printing their photos.  And you should!  You should print them and enjoy them and save them!  Now I’m not going to talk about getting albums printed from your professional photos… You totally should, (and I talk about it on my blog here) but those you should have down through  your photographer.  Today I want to talk about how to print your phone photos.  Because while some of them might not be great, a bunch of them are worth saving.

There are a whole bunch of different ways to print your phone photos.  (Or you point and shoot.)  If you are willing to download the photos to your computer you then have  a myriad of different way to print them.  At the store and just about any online printing company.  However, if the idea of taking the photos off of your phone is too much then there are companies out there to help you.  I like to post my favorite iPhone photos on Instagram.  And I like to print my photos through Artifact Uprising.  They have a book template just for Instagram and they can pull my files from Instagram so I can design a book on their website without ever having to download and upload my photos.  Which is awesome!  If you want to, they will auto-fill a book for you, or you can do it yourself if you are a bit more controlling about which photos go where (like me.)

Another company that you might like even more if Artifact Uprising still seems like more work that you will do is Books To Me.  You sign up for an account with them and they will send you a book full of photos from your Instagram feed either every month or every three months depending on what you sign up for.  So all you have to do is share your photos on Instagram the way you have been doing, and at the end of the month, Surprise!  Photo book!  And if you are disappointed that you didn’t hear about Books to Me earlier you can always order your back Instagram photos in an album and then have them send you books in the future!  Then you’ll finally have all your daily adventures in a book to remember and share!  This is especially great if you have kids!

I’m sure there are other companies out there who do this, but these are my two favorite.  And if you don’t use Instagram go sign up!  it’s a great app, fun, easy to use and everyone is on it.  And while you are there, make sure we are friends!  @LeliaMariePhoto
